I originally bought this skirt last fall while in New York.  Once I got it home I went back and forth about how much wear it would actually get; it does, after all, have a certain school girl quality to it that could come off somewhat costume-y.  I ended up returning it, and promptly proceeded to spend the next several weeks doubting my decision.  When it popped up on Gilt.com for less than half the original price I decided to make it mine, and even though I’ve only worn it twice so far this winter, I think this wool plaid number will stay a closet staple for many more years.
