Every now and again — who am I kidding, way more often than that, I set my sights on a particular piece and it gets stuck in my head, taunting me and leading me to incessantly stalk it online, waiting for the price to drop. Of course, typically these items are well out of my price range and never come down low enough for me to justify actually making the purchase (currently I’ve got my eye on this Tibi skirt), but when I tried on this drop-waist dress back in September, I became fixated. The original price tag ($79) wasn’t entirely unreasonable, but since I was trying to save money, I decided to bypass it. I visited it quite a few times online over the last few months, but resisted the urge to ever click “check out”. I’m so glad I held out because during a recent trip to my local Urban Outfitters I found it sitting on the sale rack while they were offering an extra 30% off the lowest ticket price ($19.99), meaning I was able to make it mine in both colors for under $30! I call that a fashion victory.
