One of the best parts of a button-down dress, maxi or otherwise, is the versatility they provide. The several options one provides, worn layered over another dress, as a beach cover-up over a bathing suit, or buttoned-up over a slip, make it an equally good investment piece or an affordable find. I found this particular version for $1.50 at a thrift shop, but that hasn’t stopped me from dreaming of pricier versions (like this).
