Since I knew from the moment I woke up that most all of yesterday was going to be spent in front of the computer, a no fuss uniform was in order. Although sweats were a tempting option for such a day, a stretchy pair of black denim leggings paired with a silky kimono-style jacket proved to be the perfect combination. Throwing on a pair of sky high wedges instead of basic ballet flats for a brief coffee break and breath of fresh air instantly gave this getup a going-out edge.

I wish sweats were an option, but I agree black denim leggings are the best alternative and definitely my go to during the week. Luckily I work at a place that allows my flexible style.

I’m very thankful to be able to wear whatever I want to “work” since my office primarily home based, but sometimes I really do miss the structure of getting dressed for the office. Luckily this blog helps to motivate me to get out of my sweats every morning! :)

I went through a phase a few years back where I was close to needing a legging intervention. It was bad, real bad. I haven’t really worn them since except in the form of jeggings or the faux leather, super shiny rock’n'roll style. I’m too worried about a relapse. ;)
