The bf’s grandmother celebrated her 90th birthday this weekend with a family party to help mark the occasion. Needing an outfit that was dressy enough for the celebration, yet still relaxed enough for playing on the floor with the bf’s little nieces, this billowy blouse was the ideal piece. Playing up the ladylike lace with ankle strap heels and vintage pearls, the look was perfectly appropriate and unquestionably comfortable.

Thanks! I’ve had this blouse for awhile now, and can’t believe this is the first time I’ve gotten to wear it! I fell in love with it instantly in the store, not even hesitating to make it mine, and have been dying to wear it, but got it home and worried without the perfect pair of black trousers it would look too frumpy (I’m not much of a jeans girl). I really lucked out finding these ones for $19.95 because they’re perfect with it!

I love this outfit! You’re so right–how perfect for both looking put together for the party, but relaxed enough to play! I think putting together looks for situations where you need to be versatile is your specialty–I still remember your long sleeves-shorts-short boots combination for road trips!
