Whenever I wear a simple, casual outfit like this, I like to throw in an unexpected element. The grey palette would usually prompt me to add on a bright colorful accessory. I considered a statement necklace, but the gold button detail seemed busy enough on its own, and although these floral heels added a little extra interest on their own, they’re still fairly subdued. Sometimes a twist on an otherwise ordinary hairstyle can be just the needed addition. To create this look, I took a section of hair from the right side and used small clear elastic to put it in a loose ponytail. I used that secured section, and used it along with two other sections of hair to create a side braid. Next, I took that braid and brought it up and fed under the secured ponytail area – sort of like a Topsy Tail. I took a small bunch of loose hairs to pin around the clear elastic to further conceal it, but the elastic is already rather discreet so eliminating that step would provide the same results.
